Wow. We had the big Foccacia. LOVE it. We made hot chicken sandwiches out of a third. Chicken, spinach, tomato, avocado, cheddar with some mayo… hot. Holy moly. Get it! Had some warmed up, with balsamic as a side to our pasta - oh, we drizzled a bit more olive oil on top of it before it went in the oven. Have a bit left in the freezer for later. Will be back for more. Sourdough looked fab too. Thanks!

This is an amazing, local bakery in the heart of Kendal - absolutely not to be missed! It's tucked away just off Finkle St. The bread and cakes are delicious and all made on site, the family and staff who run it are very friendly, and it's very reasonably priced. I just picked up a cinnamon bun (£1!) to have with morning coffee and it's a delight.

Hard to find good bread everywhere. Had sourdough and wholemeal tins. Tried both and really good. Well be going back. As good as, but cheaper than, Baker Toms.

I discovered their delicous flapjacks when visiting Kendal and bought a few to take home, and later discovered they are probably the best-tasting flapjacks I've ever had. So good, I had to ring up later and order a big batch to be delivered (we're a long way south of Kendal). Am hoping to try their bread when we're next in the area, I expect this will be just as good.

There is often only one reason for me to go to Kendal at the week-end and that is to collect my weekly supply of most excellent bread. I would occasionally like to go elsewhere but this bread lasts me all week without going stale. Quash the suggestion that proper Artisan bread doesn't keep.

Excellent , my favorite bread which I have been buying for over 10 years . Choice includes garlic and parmesan , OMG brown bread . There are others to choose from . The small pizzas , red onion and cheese are excellent .
